Not all interviews are for a job!. I am a nursing student and part of a role of a nurse is to interview the patient upon admitting!. We are required to try to get cultural information from that patient so that we can better understand there needs and provide proper care according to there beliefs!. this type of information gathering is not illegal!. you can be direct when asking questions, such as where were you born or where do your ancestors come from!. also what religion they are, usually in a health care situation they will express what their beliefs are in terms of medical care!. sometimes if you ask the questions above the rest will just start flowing!. a lot of people like to share there cultures with others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The last name of a person would tell you something about it!. Researching their last name would be helpful!.!.!. researching their last names is not illegal, but basing your hiring decision on this information is illegal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
