It is a personal belief issue, not a factual issue!.

Scientists and evolutionists believe we evolved!.

Christians believe in Adam and Eve!.

It is not for anyone to tell you which way is real!. You have to weigh the "evidence" and decide for yourself which one you can accept!.

I for one, believe that, as in most situations, the truth is almost always somewhere in the middle of 2 extreme perspectives!. As Forest Gump said "Maybe it's both!. Maybe both are happening at the same time!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

Either Adam and Eve were metaphorical and there was enough time for people to evolve into different races, or they were literal and the Lord made some of their children Chinese, some Cherokees, some Zulu, some Swedish, and so forth!. He did the same with Noah's children too!. He is, after all, omnipotent!.

If you want to argue religion, this isn't the place for it!. They have a category for it, "Religion and Spirituality", in the super category "Society and Culture"!. The literal Bible and metaphorical Bible people argue there all the time!. Doesn't do any good, but it makes them feel better!. If you could prove a religious argument, the way you can prove two triangles are congruent, we'd all be Presbyterians!. (Or Catholics, or Hindus, or Buddhists !. !. !.)

As for the different races, some people say we came from common ancestors and evolved differently after migrating to different areas of the world!. I think that's BS because if an asian/african/arab moves to say, Northern Europe, they won't "evolve" after millions of years into pale skinned light haired, light eyed people, assuming they don't mix at all with the native population that is already there!. There's very little to no evidence that shows europeans evolved from asians who elvoved from africans (this is what the racist evolution theory states)Www@QuestionHome@Com

People like all life on Earth have the ability to adapt to the environment, the biggest difference in race is the color of skin!. The different skin colors were adaptations to the environment, darker skin is needed in hot areas to protect them from the sun, in colder climates the light skin pigments are needed to get as much warmth from the sun as possible!. Basically humans are either dark skinned, light skinned or somewhere in between!. Since nobody has blue skin or purple skin it is most likely that the differences were just adaptations to different environments as humans migrated!.

Even if you don't believe the Biblical story of Adam and Eve, most scientists think that all humans did in fact descend from one male and one female ancestor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God can do anything he wants!. The children of Adam and Eve could have been vastly different genetically, if God chooses this to happen!. Thus, at some point during descent from Adam and Eve, the different races suddenly appeared!.

My DNA states I came from one of the 7 daughters of Eve!. My line went one way and the other 6 went different ways!. As with prehistoric animals, humans adapted to their different environments, with some becoming lighter or darker than the rest!. Each of these communities then adopted different ways of living, becoming different races!.

over hundreds of years when the population grew from adam+eve, they started to spread out across the world, for better resources, climate, etc!. their bodies changed to adapt to their new environment!. for example, where there was alot of sun the people living there grew darker skin because it was needed for better sun protection -the human body is a very smart thing!. so all the people in that environment looked the same and they acted the same way, ate the same food that was avaliable, etc!. over the hundreds of years, here we are!. some people look and act different to others just because we live in different environments!.

interesting fact: europeans are more tolerant to alcohol because they used alcohol to steralise their drinking water(hundreds of years ago)and they developed genes that told the body it wasnt toxic to their bodies an would otherwise react more to it an get rid of it more quickly Www@QuestionHome@Com

Scientists believe that our earliest ancestors came from Africa!. As others have said, this is an area that's hot and close to the sun!. To keep cool, people wore little clothing; but that left their skin exposed to the sun, which of course we know can cause skin cancer!. People born with darker skin were protected from the sun's rays and therefore had a better chance of surviving to adulthood and having more dark-skinned children!. Babies born with lighter skin didn't survive long enough to reproduce!. So the population in these hot areas is darker-skinned!.

As people gradually migrated north into colder climates, they needed warm clothes that covered their whole bodies!. Only their faces and hands were exposed to the sun!. But that caused a problem; we absorb vitamin D from the sun through our skin!. If your skin is dark, and only a little of it is exposed to the sun, you can't get enough vitamin D!. Babies born with lighter skin were healthier, because they could get enough vitamin D through the little skin they had exposed!. So they were more likely to survive, and have more light-skinned children, while the darker-skinned people died off!.

The exception is people who lived in coastal areas, where fish was a main part of their diet!. Fish is a good source of vitamin D, so people in those areas didn't need such light skin!.

I agree with all the other people who are talking about adaptation!. I was going to say that their skin changed/adapted according to their proximity to the equator!. Africans (close to the equator) dark skinned!.!.!. Swedes/Norwegians (VERY far from equator) naturally quite fair and pale in complexion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
