Question: Do you get your money's worth on ancestry!.co!.uk!?

personally i think you do, but i think only you can make the decision on how to spend your money!. they have largely most of the census returns on there, these are a godsend, i think my subscription is about 70 quid a yearr, but im not exactly sure because its on direct debit!. im sure it works out cheaper than paying each time to go on 'origins' or 'find my past', also find my past doesnt have the 1851 census yet!.
then there are the other records, pallots index, marriage index, the bmd records, the military stuff, i know that some of this might be 'free' somewhere, i dont know what is free and what you pay for, but mostly i think it works out very well for me, when i am researching (liek at the moment) im on it every day

I'm in the USA and can honestly say that the money spent for a subscription to ancestry!.com, is worth every penny!.

A 4 day trip to my dad's hometown (to do research) requires staying in a hotel/motel for 3 nights, buying food & gas, driving 4 hours to get there, plus the 4 hours to drive home!.
It's actually costs more than a one-year subscription to Ancestry!.com, because I have to take 2 or 3 days off from work!.
Small town libraries aren't usually open on Sundays and some are only open until 2 or 3 pm on Saturday!.

Having a subscription allows me to do the research from the comfort of my home!.
I can stay up as late as I like and no one ever tells me it's time leave!.
My husband doesn't have to give up part of our vacation (sitting around a motel, being bored) while I'm in the genealogy room of a library!.
My husband is so happy, with my at-home-researching, he pays for my subscription, each renewal period!.

Ancestry!.com is one the best birthday presents he has ever given me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
