Question: Can I change my last name to anything I want!? !?

I want to change my last name to my GF's last name even though Gay marriage isnt legal where I live I love her and been with her for a long time and want to take her last name!. we want to have a baby together and I think this is the best way to do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you can change your last name, first name, and all the names in between!. i did this about ten years ago, after thinking it would be a long legal process costing thousands of dollars!.

it took one hearing in court and one hundred dollars for the court and the lawyer, and i changed my whole name!.

as long as you are not changing it to avoid legal issues, it is legal, fast, and cheap!. talk to a lawyer in your area!. you will get a suprising amount of information over the phone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to your state's website and search on name change!. If you are thinking of having a baby, you want to be sure everything is legal!.
