You are not related by blood!.

You are not related at all, unless you mean the baby's maternal grandmother, who is your brother's wife, or your sister-in-law (assuming they are married)!.

If you mean the baby's paternal grandmother (her dad's mother), then she is your niece's mother-in-law (again, assuming they are married)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. The grandmother on her mother's side is your brother's wife!. She is not related to you except as a sister-in-law!. The grandmother on her father's side is not related to you at all!. You do not inherit other people's extended family through their birth or marriage that you are not already related to yourself by blood!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your niece (brother's daughter) has a baby and the grandmother you're referring to is her (your niece's) husbands grandmother, I don't think you're related!. It would make her your nephew's (through marriage) grandmother!. I think!. :)

Your brother's daughter is not related to her child's paternal grandmother, other than through marriage (mother-in-law)!. Therefore you are not a blood relative either, so you are not related!.
