Forelli is Italian and is the the Bergamo and Brescia provinces' valleys version of the family name Fiorelli!.
Fiorelli version is more common on the other side of the same mountains in Val Masino (a small secondary valley of Valtellina, Rethian Alps, Sondrio province)
It is in any case a specific family name of Central Eastern Alps (Italy) and Swiss Engadine with some further clusters in Trentino region, on Garda Lake (in Riva del Garda)
Etymology could be from the latin name Florius and its middle age version of Fiorello, Forello (all originated by the word for flower, so related to -little- flowers) or from latin forestus (stranger) or finally !.!.!. some etymologists want this family name together with Forini , Forello, Forino, Furelli and Furini to originate in late latin "furinus" and its middle age Italian version which means "Thief"
