Old toys are actually very useful when they show up in old family photographs!. Same with cars, dress, and hair styles!. This knowledge can be used to date photos!. So don't get disheartened that it found it's way into Genealogy instead of "Games and Recreations!." Yamsterdom is a weird and mysterious place!.

I haven't done the research, but I doubt you will find a photograph of anyone over 45 playing with them as a child!.

And yes, I can tell the difference between 1950's dinosaurs and green army men and 1970's dinosaurs and green army men!. But then, I was a boy, and my sons were boys, and the only flashing lights we had were on robots--- (mine were made of tin wired to a battery box; theirs were plastic and remotely controlled!.)

Methinks it's an indication of the decade and the gender of the person who played with them!. I missed the boat on playing with them, but still see them in stores!. Thanks, maybe I'll buy one for my granddaughter!. She'd like that!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I loved them!. My 4 year old has one and one of the cool things is that they have made them less bulky and more portable!. also, the bulb doesn't stay on!. It stayes on just long enough to OOOH and AHHH and then shuts off!. Then, you must press the button again to relight it!. The toy is a classic though!. It is no wonder that Lite Brite is still around!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes I remember them!. I also remember getting one of the pegs stuck in my ear!. A trip to the Doctors and the peg was a good as new, so was I!. lol!. I had hours of fun with it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

They are probably one of the fundamental building blocks of any childhood!.
I loved them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
