What I do is just disconnect the incorrect person from the parents and keep the information in my database!. You can then create an event or make a note that you found this line isn't your line!. Proving a line is or isn't part of another one, is good information!. You know know they aren't related to you but another researcher may not, therefore they may contact you and you can let them know, thus passing on good research!.

But in the mean time, the only function it allows is moving the person to another tree!. You can make another tree called "Unrelated" or something, then go to that person in your tree!. Near the bottom right is the link to move them!. You have to do them one at a time though!. If you have a husband you can move him, then you can move the wife and attach her to him in your new tree!. This could take a while if you've added a lot of people!.

I don't know what information you have or how much, but you could always right click on it, choose "select all" to highlight it, and then save it to a folder in My Documents, labeling it something like "John Doe family"!. Then, when you want to move it all to a new family tree, just do the same thing!. Or click on where it says "Copy this file" once you "open" it and tell where you want to put the information!. Third choice, copy/paste it to an email sent to yourself, and then put it in your Drafts folder until you want to use it!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com
