Question: Why do southern Italians and Sicilians have tan skin!?
I heard that they have darker skin because many years ago there was an influx of Africans and Middle Easterners to Sicily and the southern part of Italy and that lead to a lot of Italians having kids with Africans and Middle Easterners!. Well, SOME Sicilians and Southern Italians have darker skin because Sicily and South Italy were in different times Greek colonies (750/260 BC) Carthaginian (from Tunisia) colonies (300- 250 BC) , Byzantine Colonies (so from Costantinople, current Istanbul, Turkey from 552 AD to 965) and Arab colony, then part of different Arab Kingdoms and even an Emirate(965 -1096),
There are also many blond, blue eyed Sicilian, because Sicily was ruled by Goths (German) and most of all Normans, coming centuryDenmark (Vikings) in the XI - XIIWww@QuestionHome@Com

I heard it's because those parts were invaded by Mores, who were of Afro/middle eastern descent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
