Question: I need to find my Brother that I have never met!!?
I have a brother that I have never met, he is about 5 years older than me and my father was forced to sign over his rights and allow another man to adopt him the year my mother was pregnant with me!. We don't know what his name was changed to when he was adopted!. Does anyone know any good sites that can help me!? All I know is his mothers maiden name, where he was born and when, but it was in 1969 and hospitals don't keep records that long, I don't think!. Any suggestions would be great!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Trying to research hospital records will not be possible!.
They are private and can only be accessed by your brother and his mother, assuming both are still alive!. Since men don't give birth, even your father can't gain access to your brothers hospital records, due to the fact that he is now an adult!.
Even in 1975, ex-husbands had the opportunity to object to any adoption and to address the family court judge, with their objections!.
Your father would have received his own copy of the official notification of the initial court hearing concerning the petition of adoption and copies of all subsequent court hearings, dates and places!.
If he did not appear before the family court judge (or did not send his lawyer/personal representative) to object, an officer of the court may have been sent to his house with a subpoena, requiring him to appear!.
But the court appointed officer would never have appeared at the door of your parents home, with the final adoption papers in his hand, for your father to sign on the spot!.
Those papers would have only been signed in a court of law or in a lawyers office with a court appointed official present and with witnesses!.

Unless your brother can not count, he knows the other guy adopted him!
His birth date and his parents marriage date have already given him a great big hint!.

One option is to post a query on one of the many reputable adoption websites, used by adoptees and parents searching for the children they gave up for adoption!.
There may be a fee, but, if he responds, it will be worth the cost!.

I, sincerely, hope you have success locating your brother and the outcome is a joyful reunion for all concerned!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well let's see!. I am no expert on geneology, but you can go to a courthouse and look up your family records!. If his name was legally changed then there should be a record somewhere of his original name and the name it was changed to!. If he was adopted from your father, even if he didn't meet the adopted family, there has to be a signed document existing of the family that adopted your brother!. also if you what is original name is you can search him up on google, and look at family connections!. also your father should have some knowledge about the adoption so asking him is a possibility!. Here is a good site for you!.
