Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: http://www!.freedict!.com/onldict/onldict!.!.!.!. The Italian word for "grandmother" is NONNA!. I have a friend who spells it as NANA!. I would imagine, however, if she's lived at all in the USA for any length of time and speaks English, the usual terms could apply--granny, grandmother, grandma, etc!.--or even her first name (Grandma Donna is what my Mom's grandkids call her)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Jan gave you a correct answer!. In Italian it is Nana but in English pronounced Nonna or I would say Nahnah and in the U!.S!. many spell it Nonna!. !.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
