Question: How would my grandmother's cousin's granddaughter be related to me!?

She is two degrees more than your grandmother and her cousin!. You didn't say how your grandmother and her cousin were related!. If they are fourth cousins, you and the granddaughter are sixth cousins!.

Most people mean first cousin when they say "cousin", so, if that is true, your mutual parents are second cousins and you two are third cousins!.

Degree is first, second, third, etc!. You add one for every generation!. Children of first cousins are second cousins, children of 2C are 3C and so on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

3rd cousin!. Your grandmother and her cousin have a set of grandparents in common, they would be your Great-Great-Grandparents!. The same parents is siblings, same grandparents is 1st cousins, great-grandparents is second cousins and great-great grandparents is third cousins!. Removed comes in if you are different generations, so your grandmothers cousin is your 1st cousin, but 2 times removed because there are 2 generations between you and them!.

I hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

dor my advice you ned to sit down and talk to your grandmother and ask her to explain it to you, because it could be very dificult to understand sometimes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
