There is a video out about researching your Native American Ancestery!. You can also check with the Dawes list (it would depend on whether she was a member of the 5 tribes they kept track of)!. There are also websites for each tribe!. If you know the tribe you can go to their website and many of them offter a geneological site for inquiries!. The other thing I did was contact every living relatives, close and distant, to see what they knew or remembered!. A lot of times colleges and universities with Native American studies can direct you as well as give you information about a specific tribe!. In your case, I would start by searching her name in census records and asking relatives if they recall every hearing which reservation or where it was located!. Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If grandma is still living, you cannot post her name or details!.
If she is living, she can identify where she was born/raised, or where she married!.
if she isn't living!.!. then you should have some leads, based on where her children were born, particularly the oldest!. You would also be able to order her death certificate with her parents name(s)!.
the key issue is having a location and being able to find documents linking her to that tribe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
