Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Your grandmother's sister is your great aunt, or your grand aunt, whichever term you prefer; they're basically the same!. Her husband would therefore be your great uncle, or your grand uncle (again, whichever one you prefer, but I would use the same term as you would use for your grandmother's sister!. Eg if you say great aunt, then you should say great uncle)!. However, if you prefer to say "my great aunt's husband", then that's also correct!. My family tree software tells me that person is "the husband of your great aunt", but it won't tell me he's my great uncle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Grand uncle by marriage or Great uncle by marriage for accuracy!.
