Have an ancestor born 1791 in Delaware....stuck?

Question: Have an ancestor born 1791 in Delaware!.!.!.!.stuck!?

How would I go about getting information from Delaware for this time period!? Actually go to churches for records!? Our family has been assuming someone is the father of this person with no actual proof besides a will possibly mentioning similar names and census records stating my ancestor was from Delaware!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Start with www!.usgenweb!.org and go to the state of Delaware!. There are two usgenweb sites!. The main page and up in the right hand corner, the archives website!. You will find tons of information about where to find records and some of them may already be online on their websites!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

US Census for 1800 may help you best !. It will help you find 7/8 yr old so and so and their parents!. Then look for the parents in the 1790 census!. Don't for get military service records for mor info on the father!.

Church records are still an important source of records for this era!. Many are online through genealogy monopolies like ancestry!.com

Don't discount a will!. It is proof of some sort of relationship and is a valid genealogical record!. You just need more info and proof!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
