Question: Obtaining Grandfathers Birth Certificate in Connecticut!?
Need to find out if I am able to obtain it from the town!. I am over 18 years of age and need to obtain my grandfathers birth certificate which is less than 100 years old!. If I can, does anyone know the statute or where I could find it!? Thank youWww@QuestionHome@Com

If your parent is alive, it's easier if they make the request because they have to prove relationship to the person you are asking about!. (If he was born more than 100 years ago, that wouldn't be necessary by CT law!.) And, apparently, a member of an incorporated genealogical society authorized to conduct business in the State of Connecticut can also request a copy !. Pretty much contact the city hall the town he was born in!. They can send it to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
