Question: Please help, question about, GENES/HAIR!?
If the mom has natural blond hair, and the dad has black, can the son come out with black hair and the daughter with blond!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it is definitely possible because there is something called the dominant and the recessive gene traits!.

There are two types of alleles--types of the gene!. Black, which could be B and blonde, which could be b!. When your parents conceive a child, depending on their gene traits, they could either have a child who is BB, Bb, Bb, or bb!. since B is dominant, that's the one that will show!. Usually, there is a 25% to 50% chance that their next child will come out blonde!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, or the daughter can have black hair and the son blond, or they both can have black or they both can have blond!. also, you have to take into consideration any recessive genes both parents have that might not show up in their appearance!.

You get your hair coloring, pigmentation and other physical characteristic from your autosomal DNA!. You get autosomal DNA 50-50 from both parents!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only way a dark haired person is 100% positive that he/she carries a blonde or red gene is if his/her mother or father has blonde or red hair!.

Every dark haired person on Earth has at least one dark haired parent!.
Every brown eyed person on Earth has at least one brown eyed parent!.
Two brown haired parents can have a blonde or red haired child!.
Two brown eyed parents can have blue or green eyed children!.

Two blonde haired, blue eyed parents cannot have a child with neither brown eyes, nor dark hair!. Their kids will either be blonde, red, or strawberry blonde!. The kids' eyes will be either blue or green!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
