Question: Final resting place!?
I am looking to find out where my paternal grandmother is buried or if she was cremated!. The information i know is her year of birth (roughly), her year of death (roughly), cause of death and her address at time of death!. With this information, would it be easy for me to find out and also get hold of a copy of her death certificate!? The area is Huddersfield, West Yorkshire!. Any help much appreciated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

UK answer!.
Here in the UK you will need the exact date of death when you enquire at the cemeteries in Huddersfield!. Here is a list of the cemeteries in and around Huddersfield!.
http://www!.upmystreet!.com/UK/findmyneare!.!.!.
On all of the addresses you will notice a postcode, the Huddersfield postcode starts HD and then a number, you need only look for these cemeteries!.
If you would like to give her name and date of death I can find the GRO numbers for you so that you can order from this office!.
http://www!.gro!.gov!.uk/gro/content/
I can also use the information to find the cemetery for you, as they are open until 4:30pm!. IF you don't have the exact date of death there would be a charge for any search they may do to locate the burial plot!.
If you would like to email me through my profile I will get straight on to it for you!. I would just need your grans name, age at death and area she lived in, that's all!.
Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you say Yorkshire, i believe you talking about the UK!. Well I am not really sure how records work there!. But with the information you have it should be really easy to figure out her resting place!. She might have had a service from a church likea burial service (my grandmother was cremated and still had a service)!. I would try to check in with the church that she went to!. It might be a little harder for you to get a death certficate!. The way you say pateral i think you as adopted!. Because you might be able to ask one of your parents other wise!. i'd begin with going to the local cemetaries!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. they all have names of who is burried or creamated there in their plots!. from them you can get death certificates and it willl tell you the hospital she had an autopsy from (if one) and the doctor who did it!. from there you should be able to find out what you desire!. good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com
