Wendy is right!. I know everyone would love to see you find your brother, but until you find out a little basic information on him, that won't be possible!. You need to find out his first name and get an approximate year of birth on him!. Does he share your last name!? Do you think he lives in your state!? If so, I'd start with Classmates!.com, Reunion, com, MySpace and Facebook!. You can at least put feelers out on MySpace and Facebook and see what you can find!.

BTW, even if your parents are tight-lipped, I'll bet someone else in the family knows the information!. Find someone with whom you're quite close, like a grandparent or an aunt and ask if they'll help you!.!.!.discreetly of course!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

None of the above 'public' sources are open to giving personal information!. Even if you had his name!.!. do people really believe you could walk into a welfare office and be given private information!? Never mind the reality that you don't even have a name!?
I am not at all saying that your desire to know him is a bad thing!. Don't get me wrong on that!. The critical part is that, right or wrong, your parents have chosen to not give you the answer!. That is the only place you will get the information, unless another relative chooses to tell you!.
As long as your parents feel that there is a reason to not open up!.!. no one can, or should, interfere with that decision!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you live in the UK, know his birth surname and mother's maiden name (and preferably date and birth city/county) You will be able to find his birth record and order his birth certificate using the national birth index!. I have access to the index if you want me to look it up email me the details and I will!.
If he is under 18 I won't interfere!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Welfare, the Police, the Magistrates Clerk of Court, his previous school, date of birth, place of birth, your grand parents, uncles, etc,

should be able to shed light!.
Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
