Your nationality is where you were born and have your citizenship!. If you have a British citizenship your nationality is British!. However if you came to the U!.S!. and was naturalized here then your nationality became American

American is a nationality not an ethnicity!. There are two things you can do!. Research your family history!. As you go back any percentages will change!. Americans are made up of many ethnicities!. For instance in the colonial south, they had English, French Huguenots, people from one of the German states, Scots, ScotchIrish(called Ulster Scots in Britain)!. Since the country was established people from all over the world has come!. During the first part of the 20th century people came from countries all over Europe!.

Another way of getting vague percentages is with an Autosomal DNA test!. It will not give you specific nationalities of ethnicities but it will indicate Northern European, West African, East Asian etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok from what you have explained so far you're 50% American, 25% Scottish and 25% English/British!. With the possibility of more cultures in you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
