His obityary will usually tell you where he is buried!. You may be able to find it on-line or for free through other means!.

may help!.

If you don't find it, you'll have to write to the county he died in (Health department, vital records or bureau of statistics - the name varies) and buy a copy of his death certificate, which should have the name of the cemetery!.

You didn't say so, but it is obvious you and your step-mother are not on speaking terms, so the easy route - asking her to go with you to the cemetery to put one of his favorite flowers on his grave, then going to lunch afterwards - is not open to you!. It's also obvious that you and your father didn't call each other every couple of weeks to chat!.

I'm sorry for your loss, and for the rift that came between you, your father and your step mother!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can probably still be able to search his town's newspaper online and find his obituary, but I don't think it'll tell you what happened!.

Try rootsweb!.ancestry, but I don't know if you'll come up with anything!.
Why not just call her and ask!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
