Years ago, I worked for the post office and knew almost all towns/ cities in Ca!.!. and that rings no bells!.
Depending on when the family was there, it is not impossible that we could find them in the census, which would pinpoint the county and give a few clues!. I can look on ancestry!.com for you, if you send the names (all in family if you know them) and time frame, so I know which year to look for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

**Contra Costa County (Spanish for: "Against the Coast") is a suburban county in the San Francisco Bay Area of the U!.S!. state of California!. As of the 2000 census, it had a population of 1,024,319!. The county seat is Martinez!.
Then, like some others mentioned, there is a Costa Mesa--among others that start out that way!.

**Founded 1850
Seat Martinez
Largest city-- Concord

Like the gentle lady above me asked, context!? Did you overhear it in a bar or see it scrawled on a faded letter wrapped with pink ribbon that your grandmother kept in the attic!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Chowchilla
Calistoga
Coalinga
Coronado
Covina
