Wherever their ancestors lived!. There isn't a single town or port that you can point to and say, "All colonial Spaniards originated there!." There were thousands of sailors, government officials, colonists, etc who flocked to the Caribbean between 1492 and the Spanish-American war!. They hopped from one island to another very freely and left behind a whole lot of DNA!. There is absolutely no way to trace records in Cuba during the current regime, so there is no way to answer your question!. If you can afford a month-long trip to the Spanish Archives, you might be able to find some records from the colonial period, but that won't link you to anyone born in the last 100 years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Racial identity is not necessarily identifiable by skin color!. Neither can ethnicity!. Hispanics, regardless of the country of origin are racially "white!."

If you are talking about ethnicity then you are going to find that many different "white" people make up Cuban ancestry!. Just like many Island and "black" people make up Cuban ancestry!.

Actually "white" Europeans make up over 65% of Cuban demographics so your original premise is incorrect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

White Cubans come from all over Europe not just Spain although it was a Spanish controlled country for a long number of years, I have found members of my family there and they came from Cornwall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
