The racist murder of the innocent victims knew no bounds and if anyone was ever more an innocent victim, then it was the children who were sent to Treblinka!. The official figure of victims killed at this camp is between 850,000 - 900,000, of which this total, children made up at least one third!. How many of these 300,000 could have been teachers!? How many could have been artists!? How many could have been musicians!? How many could have been politicians!? How many could have been doctors!? How many could have been fathers and mothers!? How many could just have been a good friend!
Alinka Lilka, named after her mother Lilka Cukierman, was one of the 300,000 children murdered at Treblinka!. No children survived Treblinka as they were immediately sent to their death, either being shot at the "Lazarett" (the execution pit disguised as a field hospital) or together with the adults in the gas chambers!. In the gas chambers they went through a particular horrifying death, as the children were usually the last to die, as due to the fact that youngsters' blood contain more oxygen!. According to eyewitness accounts, some children survived the painful ordeal in the gas chambers, but no mercy was shown as the Nazis shot them in the head!.

(On the website above, it has a lengthy poem by David Graham, written in 1995 called "Treblinka"--it is an eye-opener, believe me!. I hope you will read it!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

If Alinka was in the ghetto but not heard from again, there is a possibility that she was smuggled out!. This happened with a few (tragically few) children, and it saved them from Auschwitz or the other concentration camps!. They usually chose young children, placed them with Christian families and the children would be brought up in that faith, and taught to regard those families as their parents!. In order to preserve their cover, they would not be told anything of their true background or parentage!. It would be very difficult to trace, as Alinka herself would not know that she was anything but what she had been raised as - a Christian German!.
She may have died in the ghetto - as so many did - but there is always the possibility that she was one of the lucky ones!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
