Question: Revised question!?
Canadian census!?
Is there anywhere besides LDS to see an 1881 Canadian census!? Or where I can see the actual census!? Why is there a gap from the 1850s to 1901 in Canadian censuses on Ancestry!? Just how reliable is LDS!?

Take a look at this,

http://www!.familysearch!.org/Eng/search/C!.!.!.

The names don't seem like they are spelled right or they were messed with!. Agree!? Comments!? The family was from Ontario, I just think names like May I!. Mop and Babli Moonon sound kind of odd!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

All transcriptions are only as good as the the transcriber's ability to decipher other person's handwriting, many transcriptions of original records have been done by people in countries who's first language is not English ! And who have no knowledge of local place names or naming patterns in the countries they are transcribing the records of!.
Generally speaking the LDS records are second to none !
You will almost certainly find exactly the same mis- transcriptions at all other sources, the only way to ascertain the correct entry/spelling is to access facsimiles of the original census pages!.
