Question: Do English newspapers carry birth annoucements!?
I'm trying to find the full names of the parents of an English woman born in London, in 1975!.
I have seen her birth record!.But that only has the last names and no other details!.I can't find the parent's marriage record!.They may have been married outside England!.
Would I be likely to find birth announcements in any of the London papers!?
I do know the Guardian has online access,but I don't know if it would be worth paying to search it!.
I welcome helpful advice on finding the information!.
I have done extensive research on my american ancestors on Ancestry!.com,and have full access to the american site!.

The entry in the GRO Civil Birth Register, will give the mother's maiden name!. For births after about 1910 you will have to gain access on a pay site!. Yes they do carry birth announcements!. I contacted the archives library in Nottingham for a birth that happened in 1939 and they found the announcement for me, as far as I know all newspapers have an archives library!. They sent me a photo copy of the announcement, and it didn't cost anything because my dates were accurate!.
The mums maiden name was included in the birth index in the September quarter in 1911!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Yes, they do, if the parents have put them in!. Not everybody does!. The birth should, however, have been legally registered, with the names of both parents!.If you look up Registration of Births, Marriages and Deaths, for London 1975 and the name, you should find her!.It will help enormously if you know what London Borough or District she was born in as London is a big place!
