Question: Ancestry experts come here!.!?
So I have been working on my geneology and I have hit a few dead ends and I don't know what to do about it!.
Some portions of the family go way back to England around 1415, but others have no leads at all!.
My Grandmother father turns out to be a player and has a whole other family, but he has no parents to be found for some reason!. What it the best way to fix these dead ends!. To bad all of the older people in my family are dead because I could just ask them!.
I also have pictures of family memebers and I have no idea who they are!. They are very old photos, I think they are cool, but it would be nice to put a name to a face!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You didn't say where you have looked!.
Ancestry!.Com has lots of records!. They have all the U!.S!. censuses through 1930!. The 1940 and later are not available to the public yet!. They have also have U!. K!. censuses!.
Cyndi'sList!.com list a large multitude of websites, free and paid!. Some of them might be helpful to you!.
Just don't take as absolute fact everything you see in family trees on any website, free or paid!. The info is user submitted and mostly not documented!. Even when you see the same info repeatedly by many different subscribers that is no guarantee at all it is correct!. A lot of peoplle copy without verifying!. The information can be useful as CLUES as to where to get the documentation!.
Ancestry!.Com, Genealogy!.Com and Rootsweb(freesite) have message boards!.
If you put one on Rootsweb it will be on Ancestry!.Com's and vice versa!. also it will show up on the Rootsweb mailing list!. They have message boards for surnames and for location!.
You might put another question on this board giving us your great grandfather's name and where you feel he was born and where he lived, or edit your question!. also let people have his date of birth or approximate date of birth!.

People are born with names bestowed upon them from people whom love them before they are even born!. Imagination is one of the greatest gifts bestowed upon us at birth!?! Use yours! Your imagination!?! Turn your family tree upside down! You are the mother of the tree!?! Those whom have no memory of name in your mind!? Give them one! Give them two!?! I assure you! Many, many years from now!. When your great, great, greatest of greats child's is looking through the family tree!?! Yours!
