Question: Mason's in New Zealand!?
My great-great granfather was a 33rd degree Mason in New Zealand!. Since my great grandmothre ran away to the USA I know little about that part of my family other than the last name Ellis, he was military and given some award for work with Moari's!. Is there any regristry in New Zealand where I can learn anything!.!.!.even a first name!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

They may be able to divulge some information they have on your relative if you write to them!. They keep a registry of members, dating all the way back to the beginnings of the order!. Address and birth date would be contained in that information - that may be enough to help you on, so that you can research more through other channels!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Anyway, do you meen Freemason!? Yes, there's a complete list of births and deaths here in the library and I know someone who specializes in this area!.
