Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Klema
Last name origin & meaning:
Czech and Serbian: from a pet form of the personal name Klement, a vernacular form of Clemens (see Clement)!.

Clement
First name origin & meaning:
Latin: Merciful
First name variations: Clements, Clemens, Clemmons, Clemon, Clem, Clemendo, Clemente, Clementino, Clementius, Clemmie, Clemmy, Klemens, Klement, Klementos, Kliment

Last name origin & meaning:
English, French, and Dutch: from the Latin personal name Clemens meaning ‘merciful’ (genitive Clementis)!. This achieved popularity firstly through having been borne by an early saint who was a disciple of St!. Paul, and later because it was selected as a symbolic name by a number of early popes!. There has also been some confusion with the personal name Clemence (Latin Clementia, meaning ‘mercy’, an abstract noun derived from the adjective; in part a masculine name from Latin Clementius, a later derivative of Clemens)!. As an American family name, Clement has absorbed cognates in other continental European languages!. (For forms, see Hanks and Hodges 1988!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

In the 1930 census of the U!.S!. (the last one that's been made public) of the foreign-born heads-of-household named Klema, 17 said they were born in Czechoslovakia, 6 said Bohemia, 4 Hungary and 3 Austria!. (Considering how Europe was divided up in the 19th century, those Hungarians and Austrians could have been Slovakians too!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
