Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Dutch genealogists routinely require a minimum equal to $750-1000 American just to take a project from another country!. So be careful in your choice of researchers!. There are no guarantees and their hourly rate is significantly more than you're used to in the rest of the world!. If you want to try doing it yourself, though, the majority of it is available through the Netherlands' archives online at http://www!.genlias!.nl/en/page0!.jsp
The only group that isn't participating is Amsterdam!. Other than that, you can usually find records back to 1400 without much problem and if you're in Noord Holland you can use the land records and notary records to go back to 1100!. They're kind enough to offer the information on obtaining originals through the site, as well!.

Finding a professional researcher in any country is best done by going through one of the professional services that pre-screens the genealogists so that you know you're getting someone well-versed on the country or countries that you're researching!. APGEN is one of the better resources!. http://www!.apgen!.org/Www@QuestionHome@Com
