I'm mostly scottish,while the rest irish,dutch,german,welsh,french,african(!.!.!. is very far back on the line in the early 1800's to the late 1700's),seminole,creek,and cherokee!.I know of some stories of my scottish ancestors!.One is the McCasland's who moved to Holland from scotland because of percacution from catholic restoration!.He found a dutch wife,and they moved to the united states!.He joined the Revolutionary War and fought against the british!.

I have another story about the McClammy's!.Mark McClammy moved to the united states with his wife,and they had children here!.He got into a fight with a man named mister Smith!.And they challenged eachother to a pistol duel!.McClammy was shot six times,and used what life he had left to shoot a fatal shot to Smith!.Smith died six hours later,while Mclammy died almost immediatly!.

We'll those are the stories of my scottish ancestors I have discovered so far!.I hope you liked them!.Nice to talk to a fellow Scotman!.

My mother is scottish!. Her parents were from Glasgow and Edinburgh and before that they were all from the west coast, including the isles of Islay and Mull!. A few generations back my ancestors were thrown off Mull (I think but could have been a different island) for 'cattle rustling' - that's stealing other people's cows! My great uncle was the sherif of Mull and caught Paul McCartney growing weed there!. Didn't arrest him though, luckily for beatles fans!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have some Scottish 3rd cousins, Their dad is from Glasgow, he's hard to understand, They like to do the Highland Fling, they seem a little wild but fun!. They don't take after the Quaker side of the family, which is the side my Mom is from!. She couldn't wear make-up or finger nail polish, and she couldn't date until she was out of high school!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My Gt!. Gt!. grandmother was a Maria Grant born circa 1830-35 "Gloucestershire" (1841 Census info) no baptism found!.
Definite family legend that her father was born in Scotland and my mother had a small piece of tartan given to her by her grandfather, which was a Grant tartan!.

Yes, my father was Scottish!. I live and was born in England though!. Our name is associated with the Royal Stewarts and that is our Tartan

yeah I am an aussie living in china I have a scottish father ( sorry had) a scottish father he didnt know who his father was, he took his mothers maiden name!.
