Question: What "sapinda relationship" under the Hindu Law of India !?
Under the Indian Hindu Law certain relations are connected by "sapinda relationship" a sort of lineal heritage!. Sapinda most probably is a hindi or Sanskrit word!. I want to know if there is any scientific belief like chromosomal descent from a common ancestor!. Does that mean inheritance containing a part of DNA helix of the common ancestor!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am hindu and have not even heard about this term!. I know though that there is a type of lineal heritage thing though!. I don't think it has anything to do with a common chromosomal descent and more to do with a common ancestor!. We cannot say that the DNA helix would contain a piece of genetics that would make a common ancestor!. We can claim that some genetic features may be present in kids but that carries into a family or any religion!. That isn't anything to do specifically with Hindu's!. Plus majority of families in India have different ancestors depending what part of India so then again it gets more complicated as there are so many forms of genetic differences!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
