Where did the nickname bungy for the surname williams come from?

Question:I googled it and it seems that this is prevalent in the British Navy. There was a whole list of surnames and ready made nicknames.

I've never heard the nickname before. I thought there might be some sort of reference to it on this site but there isn't sorry.
