I found this one that could be a possibility if the name was spelled wrong, but you did not include who any of his siblings may be, so I cannot rule this possibility out. Here in 1880 there is a Lavaries G. Shields, age 9. Right age. When I looked at the original, Lavaries could have been some spelling of Louis or Lewis that ancestry transcribed wrong. http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.d... Still looking in 1880... In 1920, they lived in Hardy Station, Grenada, Mississippi transcribed as Green and Marthia Shilds In 1900, they lived in Big Creek, Marion, Arkansas transcribed as L G and Martha Skidds You should be on a genealogy site for a search like this. I know they are costly, but you can also exchange email with others, which is how my niece found my ex-husband and my daughter can now have a relationship with him and with a sister she knew nothing about. best of luck! |
