I really need help with my family geneology in the UK. I live in the US?

Question:I've asked a similar question before and was told to ask anyone from the UK if they can help. I'm doing this for my grandmother and myself. We want to know more about our ancestry. Everytime I try to find information on family in the UK, I find I have to pay for it. I could really use some free help. Any suggestions?

I am in the UK. What information is it that you are searching for. Assuming that the information is in relation to your dear departed ancestors then I am sure some one will be able to help you out on this one.

justme is probably our resident UK volunteer, who has helped MANY persons. (not to insult other UK buddies).
I also have dabbled in www.genuki.com to get background info on English history and sources. Most of my English ancestry is limited to pre 1700s, so I don't use many of the more recent resources, such as census, etc.
