How do i find someone without the knowing the last name?

Question:i'm looking for a friend that may have changed his last name, but I know what city he lives in.

You could try his friends, relatives and high school graduating class, but don't expect to be able to find him. The Internet is wonderful, but it isn't magic.

thats going to be really hard. If you know his last address, you could try asking the people who live there now if they know where he lives, or try going to the post office to see if they have a forwarding address for him

I dunno really, I once tried to do the same but in the end I found them again through a friend at swimming! But I suggest searching on bebo or friends united, flickr, myspace, that kinda stuff see if you can somehow find them there. But honestly, I don't really have a clue! good luck though! xx

OR you can call the high school or college he went to and you can find out all his information.

Do you know any of his family members? Sometimes you can contact people that way.

If you have his last address, you could try writing to the neighbours on either side; they may have kept in touch.
Or you could try writing to the Readers' Letters Column of the newspaper for the City in which he now lives, and ask if anyone knows a lost friend who is "Frederick ? from Istanbul"
