Geeze. That's amazing. And I thought my family was full of late-bloomers. I've got some strange things jumping around the family tree, but not that one.

I wish genealogical programs could have "weird statistics" as a menu item...

Happy hunting. At least you have less people to document for a given time period...

i think we all do......

My grandfather was born in 1868, thats all I know.

Yes, I have huge generations on my mom's side. I am 1949; mother 1909, her father in 1840s, and I don't have his parents identified. My mother was the youngest child of his 2nd marriage, and he died when she was less than 2 yrs old.
Helps to know that you can't make assumptions on anything in research.

i was born in 47, too and my mother was born in 1913, too!

Okey dokey, I was born in 1943, my Mom in 1901, her Mom in 1860. On my Dad's side, that far back, an ancestor was born BEFORE the Revolutionary War and died AFTER the Civil War. (His brother was born DURING the Revolutionary War, cannot find out when or where he died.)
Ain't it great???

i think my sisters brothers`sons uncles`aunts brothers dads auntys`sons mums dads sons` grandads uncles wifes son in laws`great grandads mum in laws` nephews step sons step sisters grandad` lived in the same street as his twin sisters uncles auntys sister` who had triplets` and only 5 survived` went to my sisters brothers auntys school on the same street as my grandads wifes uncles husbands sons dads aunt.

I was born in 1969.
Mom in 1945.
Her mother in 1919 and her father in 1918
Her mother's parents in 1887 and 1890
Her father's parents in 1883 and 1886

My dad born in 1942
His mother in 1917 (his father's side of the family is unknown).
His mother's parents in 1893 and 1895

I have to go back to my 4th great-grandparents on both sides before I start to find anyone born in the 1700's.

Here's mine: do 4th & 5th great-grandfathers count??

Death: 1830 in Steuben Co. NY

Bishop COSTON --3rd Great-grandfather
Birth: ABT 1760
Death: 23 Jan 1847 Yorkshire, NY

Augustus Bishop Coston-- 2nd Great-grandfather

Eugene Alonzo Coston --Great-grandfather
Birth: 28 APR 1865 in MO

Charles Lloyd Coston--My grandfather
Birth: July 8, 1909
Died: Oct. 12, 1991-- My grandma, Sarah Etta (Johnson) Coston, was born 7-17-1907 & d. 12-31-1991. They'd been married 63 years. She was one of 12 children who survived out of 13, as were each of her parents.

Then comes my Mom (b. 1930), and then me (b. 1948). :)
