Question Home

Position:Home>Genealogy> Mary Root and Leonard Briggs??

Question:The question is does ANYONE have a way to reach the poster, since he/she didn't enable their email?
The full image of the 1900 census, with all info, shows that Mary was mother to 3 children, 2 of them living. Alice, born in 1874, does show up with her parents in 1880 census. She was married (or not living) by 1900.
I wish there was some foolproof way to let people know that in genealogy, having open email is to their benefit.

Your point of allowing Y!A Email is excellent. I've gotten a few messages from trolls (cussing me out, usually over politics) but if you remember to do it through the Y!A system it is basically safe and secure. Sometimes I'll see an old, resolved question for which I had the absolute best info; or one that requires more depth than an simple answer would allow. In that case, it's frustrating to try to help somebody who requests it but has shut themselves off.

I have a couple contacts that are safe enough for us to exchange real email, but that decision only comes after the mature deliberation of both parties.

And remember: check you spam filter settings and e-mail scanner settings if you are having trouble connecting getting mail.

Maybe the poster will return and see this message.

I think I fixed the email, Wendy.

Hopefully they will see this...............Got your back Wendy.......reported DJ.
