Has anyone ever heard of the surname Talmich or Talmic?

The information at Ancestry.com is inconclusive for a specific origin, so this surname was probably spelled many different ways. The 1881 UK Census Index has Isabella Talmic, born abt 1859 in Rossshire Gaelic, Urray, Scotland, a servant in Inverness. The 1870 US Census Index has John Talmich born in NY and living in an Irish neighborhood in NYC.

Neither spelling appears in the 1930 US Census index. It could be a misspelling for Talmage or Telmicher, which are more common.
