i looked through magnifing glass and cant make out anything except --hodder-- the H has the sides but are not connected with a line---are you sure that is a birth cert. my dad was born in 1905 and mom 1909 and both certificates look like legal documents and are type written

I agree. Think it's Maud Moore formerly Hodder

I would say Hodder, because the 'r' is
written with the same loop(?) at the top
left as in Moore, and top name Maud.

Why don't you visit your local registy office and see if they can help you.
