Have you ever heard of the surname Keough?

Question:I have heard that it is usually spelled 'Keogh'--is that correct?
I am in the USA...my ancestors came west 2 generations ago.

Yes. Keough is a common name in my part of CT.

My copy of the UK Electoral Roll has 199 people listed with the spelling Keough, and "over 200" with the spelling Keogh - the computer hasn't learned to count beyond 200!
So it isn't an uncommon name in my part of the World.
