You could come over to Ireland and live Here for Five Years and Apply for Citizenship, A lot of People have done that. John Huston the American Director of Films became an Irish Citizen Years ago . He was always Fascinated by Ireland and eventually took the Plunge and Became a Citizen. His Daughter Anjellica Huston is Fascinated by Ireland as well and has Acted in Films about Ireland. John Huston Died Years ago now I dont know the Year. So good luck in your Quest.

Thank you Sara M. Do you have Red Hair, thats a Celtic Trait. Report It

  • I don't know if thats possible to become an Irish citizen by just having the heritage but I don't think so, either if it was possible 12% of the US would end up being Irish citizens right? Check out the country's site it must write there.

I don't think so it needs to be your grandparents or parents - but you could always try the embassy for further advice

You are only entitled to become an Irish citizen by birth if one parent or grandparent was born in Ireland.
