Position:Home>Genealogy> Wuschlegers?

Question:Family name...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Family name...

Now, this is a tough one. Although I guessed it would be a German name immediately, I did not find anything about it. "Wullschleger" is a little better known. Ancestry.com says it would be a Swiss name, and that's possible, as it occurs just two times in all the telephone directories of Germany, and once in Austria. Due to Ancestry it's a variation of the more common occupational name "Wollschl?ger", given to workers who were preparing wool for spinning.
I believe that the name you are looking for originated as a unique variant of the rare Swiss variation. (Or maybe the double-l got lost later in America.)

Are you just telling us your family name or do hope to find some information as to its origin.
