Question:My grandpa is a geneology person for our family. He came across someone and thinks they may have died. Is there a site to look up info on dates of death if you know the area they are from?

You can search the Social Security Death Index. It's available on many genealogy sites, like Rootsweb and Ancestry. Just Google "Social Security Death Index" and take your pick.

county recorders office is where you will find all that out. you can ask the D.A. to be sure.

The obituaries. Google the name, obituary and hope the right person pops up (There can be more than one person to a name)
