Jacob's syndrome is a rare chromosomal disorder that affects males. It is caused by the presence of an extra Y chromosome. Males normally have one X and one Y chromosome. However, individuals with Jacob's syndrome have one X and two Y chromosome.

Genetics is a SCIENCE that requires years of college and specialized training to do, and is concerned with genes, microbiology, etc., and uses SCIENTIFIC methods and experiments to prove or disprove theory or to show cause and effect. Research is done in a lab, not in the records basement of court houses and churches.

Genealogists are not geneticists.

A funny disease in that it isn't caused by a true virus but an infective protein called a prion which has a simpler structure.
