Position:Home>Genealogy> Are there any still existing family members related to Lizzie Borden?

Question:If you want distantly related, then yes. She is a DISTANT relative of Gail Borden (the Milk guy) and Robert Borden (Canadian Prime Minister) as well as Elizabeth Montgomery (actress who played Lizzie in a movie). But DISTANT. Plus she had quite a family so you could probably trace any of those lines to today.

However, there are certainly no direct descendants as Lizzie had no children.

i'm sure there are people out there who are distantly related to her. i know that she never had kids and i don't think her sister did either.

I know that she had a sister, Emma, with whom she was estranged.

I found Lizzie's Will and it says:

21. To my cousin George E. Robinson, of Swansea, Massachusetts, the sum of one thousand dollars.

22. To my cousin Edson M. Robinson, of said Swansea, the sum of one thousand dollars.

23. To my cousin, Percy V. Robinson, of said Swansea, the sum of two thousand dollars.

So certainly there are living heirs that are related to Lizzie, but she did not have children, so there is no direct bloodline.

I'm pretty sure that's true. She may not have carried out the Borden name since they take up the man's last name, but she probably had Cousins and Aunts who then had children and so on. Don't for get that the incident occurred in the 1880's once you think about it, it's not that long ago.
