Position:Home>Genealogy> Could my grandmother be a Lipan Apache?

Question:My grandmother was Apache, her maiden name was Lipe. She was born in 1913 give or take a year. She lived in Arkansas when she married my grandpa, a white man. I'm studying Texas history right now on the Lipan Apaches and remembered her name. Any ideas, suggestions, advice, etc?

Easy.. get her documentation. In other words... if we had her name at death, she could be found in the social security death index. The most recent census open to research is 1930.. she should be in their, and in 1920. Her parents would be in those and earlier ones. Looks like you already know that the tribe has a web site and history info... but what YOU want, is documentation about your family/ ancestors.
