Try contacting the The Provincial Archives of Alberta. They accept research requests: paa@gov.ab.ca

Also contact the Alberta Genealogical Society: http://abgensoc.ca/
They have published books on Alberta cemeteries, including at least three on Barrhead.

You can rent microfilm from Family History Centers (aka Mormon genealogy libraries). They have an Index to Alberta cemetery records -- "contains over 279,000 names from cemetery, burial and obituary records and is arranged alphabetically by surname. It lists name, birthdate (if available), death date, source code and place." See familysearch.org for locations and for their library catalog.

Also contact the Albert Family Histories Society:
http://www.afhs.ab.ca/

All in all, there are over 100 published books on Alberta cemeteries. See worldcat.org for what/where. You can borrow some of these from your library via InterLibrary Loan (at least you can in the US...)
