Position:Home>Genealogy> I traced one line of my family back to England in the 1500's?

Question:Once i got back to the mid 1500's i could not trace any further back. Does anyone know of a website that deals specifically with very old records in England. Or at least any way to trace back that far when you hit a dead end? I do have some birth dates/places, names, death dates and one burial site.

The name that has birth year, death year, birth place, and burial location is: Elizabeth Bankes (alt spelling: Bancks) who was born 1607 in Maidstone, Kent, England. Married a Thomas Grigsby. Died in 1655 and was buried in "All Saints Church Yard, Maidstone, Kent, England".

I do have her parents names and their parents names along with some dates for them as well if anyone has the ability to search that far back and could let me know how to or could be me that would be neat. I have no idea how to go about finding records that far back.

Thanks.

Wow! Awesome Job!

The only thing I could suggest is contact All Saints church in Kent and see if they have record that far back.

These sites may be of some help:

Try sending the web master an email, you might get some good tips that way

Good Luck!
