Where can i find a website that gives free origins of last names?

Question:i want a free website where it gives me like .... if it was royal name ... like knights, queens, kings and all that stuff .... i cant find none ... help please.....

You can get a brief preview of surnames at Burke's Peerage and Gentry:

It claims to be "The definitive genealogical guide to the major aristocratic, historical and royal families of the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States of America."

You would need to pay for a full report, but at least you can see whether a specific name has royal ancestors.
